let's talk about better things! i re-watched my american idol videotapes! from motown to disco. hehe... watched it with gavin. hahaha! that kid is so cute... he thinks clay (the stupid stupid looking one) and ruben (the fat one. the 205 one) are the best among all. as for the ladies, he says that trenyce is the best among the girls. =) haha... AND, he absolutely detests josh too. the moment josh starts singing, he'll cringe. even while i'm fast forwarding, he refuses to look at the screen cos he thinks that josh looks really awful even without the dreadful singing. hahaha... our tastes don't differ too much i guess...
. . .
went for shumin's bbq on friday night, went for class gathering yesterday afternoon.
shumin's bday bbq was quite alright. as usual, i didn't eat a lot, but then it was quite alright. the food is generally fine, and then i had qifen (and sometimes lijuan) for company. later on wei loon and his friends came over to our table and started talking rubbish. more entertainment. anyway it wasn't such bad thing i wore jeans. though in the beginning it was awfully hot and sticky, later on at night it got rather cool and there were mosquitoes. so i was safer then. i raoughly know how to get to east coast park from the mcdonalds end now. take 196 until the stop before tao nan. then walk in through the hdb estate, pass by carpark, look for the underpass and get into east coast park. yup, should be something like that. when i came home i missed a 196. but the second one came not too long after. i think it's just because i was busy msging people so time seemed to pass rather quickly. i was discussing with zihui if we should just wear class tee for the class gathering. isn't that the purpose of a class tee? anyway, we got another 3 people to wear it in the end. huiyi couldn't bcs she had to go work before that. it was quite cute. kaisiang's mum found it so amusing. oh yes, 196. it was so damn cold inside there. i was already perspiring before that then when the air con was blowing right at me despite the many futile attempts at turning it away. but it was a smooth trip home. which was good.
class gathering last night. i kinda enjoyed myself. no, really, i quite like it. with the exception of jo's appearance. but i shouldn't be bothering about that. cos what really bothers me is her mere existence. i cannot stand her any longer. oh yes. we were supposed to meet kaisiang at 445 at bedok int. but then when i reached there (right on time), only siew choo and joanna were there. since i reached on the spot, honeybunch will tell you that everyone else were late. kaisiang came after that. then jiaen, zhiying and qixin. then cindy. then wanyu. then zihui. think that's all? yes that's all. cos whoever came after that was so fucking late. if they can't reach on time the least they could do is to ask us to go on first. these people really don't give a damn if the entire world's waiting for them. it pisses me off so very much. which was why i was quite angry when zihui was so late last time. but she's improved a lot. so it's quite alright. anyway, i waited for over half an hour for them to turn up. i don't remember hearing any sorry. they were just busy giving excuses. it's not like as if the train/bus broke down or what. it's just another no good time estimation. which, though pardonable, is extremely annoying if the estimation goes off a whole 30 minutes. what an ass. then we made our way to kaisiang's place. poor ks, haha, have to lead a whole bunch of girls. he was feeling so awkward all the time. which is funny. i thought he wouldn't care. nevermind. oh yes, i forgot something! you know what i saw on the way to his house? a dead cat! it was... ugh... it didn't look disgusting on its own, but i was pretty disgusted anyway cos it was dead. but at least i didn't freak out like the rest of the girls. i didn't shriek or yell. i was cool. eh he... then at his place we were all very quiet. so quiet that when the guys arrived later, they were complaining that we should be making more noise than that. haha. if the chatterbox isn't around you can't expect much noise you know. well anyway, as usual, it was siew choo to be sacrificed. she's always at the receiving end of the guys' mean words. exp mervyn. he particularly likes to suan her. too bad. mervyn claimed that he's already toned down and we're actually seeing the better side of him now. and i just went "you mean this is already better? like this?" oh boy, then can't imagine you at your worst man... anyway, he was quite amused. still as cheeky huh? yeah, sound like i'm some KFC kids' meal. whatever. basically, we girls were separated into our own cliques as usual. talking and gossiping among ourselves. the guys were just surrounding the bbq pit and doing all the bbqing. later on we offered to go and help then we took over. very nice. it was so darn hot at the bbq pt. i don't really like that... anyway... the satay tasted real good! haha... kinda happy... but those people just left bit by bit. so demoralizing, less and less people. ok, whatever, cos i finally came to the main part.
which is that jackass.
it was a class bbq and she turned up wearing sleeveless blouse, long skirt, and high heels. didn't share the present or whatsoever. but then brought a packet of time out chocolate bars for us. very nice. what do you take us for? nursery kids? do i strike you as someone you can bribe with a chocolate bar? it wasn't even kit kat you know... what a cheapskate. i ought to have checked the expiry date. for all we know she just dug it out from home bcs nobody else wanted it. meh. she came late, she left early. how very respectful. but i'm not going to protest about this. the less i see of her the better. i don't like her anywhere within a mile's radius of me. stinks like crap. dammit. anyway, siew choo told me about the jerk encounters. in other words. the times she was forced to be in the presence of the other half of the jackass. that he thing is such a total absolute son of a bitch. when they were together in the lecture theatre and saw this girl walk in with barely enough textile material to cover her such as to spare the remaining school population, that he thing said to choo, "siew choo, you wear like that lah, then you sure get a boyfriend one." oh fuck. she doesn't need to prostitute herself to get a hum sup lou. ass. as for the rest, i'll fill you in later... IF i feel like it.

Marine Josh Retreats from "Idol" Tour
And then there were nine.
The hot-ticket American Idol tour will be minus little-bit country, little-bit pop singer Joshua Gracin, it was announced Friday.
Gracin was pulled from the lineup by his Uncle Sam, a harsh taskmaster also known as the U.S. Marines.
The 22-year-old, a lance corporal with the 1st Force Service Support Group, was "unable to complete his required training in the allotted time," Major Curtis L. Hill said a statement.
Gracin was voted off American Idol on May 7, after having marched his way into the top four.
His TV tour of duty was marked by controversy--and not just because his western twang disappeared and reappeared from week to week depending on how harshly Simon Cowell criticized him. Eyebrows were raised when Gracin's Camp Pendleton-based unit was not deployed to the Middle East as U.S. forces massed for the eventual Iraq war.
In a newspaper interview, Gracin's own mother suggested the unit was being held back from the action so her boy could butcher "Bad Blood" on Idol. (We paraphrase.)
The Marines denied Gracin was the reason the 1st Force Service Support Group remained in Southern California. The Marines did not deny Gracin was a tool.
The Corps "sees the recruiting value of Gracin's appearance before a national audience," it said last January as its crew-cutted crooner began Idol maneuvers.
Rather than seek fame and supermarket-opening gigs after his Idol run ended, Gracin returned to base.
When the Idol tour was announced in May, word was the Marines had signed off on allowing its poster boy to return to active singing duty. No word on what led to Friday's reversal.
A rep with 19 Entertainment, the management company behind Idol, said, in a statement, producers were "sad" Gracin wouldn't joining the tour, but that they "completely respect and applaud his commitment to the completion of his military duties."
In May, Gracin told MTV.com he kept a bag packed during his Idol time, in case he was called up during the competition. The Fox show had its own contingency plans: If the Marine was asked to be a Marine before he was voted off, he would have been allowed to join next season's group of finalists.
The 41-date American Idol tour, brought to its pop-loving fans by (what else?) Pop Tarts, kicks off July 8 in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Winner Ruben Studdard is on board, as is runner-up Clay Aiken. Both remained atop the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart for the second week in a row, with Aiken's "This Is the Night/Bridge Over Troubled Water" edging Studdard's "Flying Without Wings/Superstar."
Also on the Idol bill: Kimberly Locke, Trenyce, Carmen Rasmusen, Kimberly Caldwell, Rickey Smith, Julia DeMato and Charles Grigsby.
Joining Gracin on the home front: Corey Clark and Vanessa Olivarez.
Clark had his Idol status revoked in April after it was revealed he was awaiting trial on assault charges. Olivarez was voted off by viewers March 12, placing last, or 12th, among the 12 finalists.
The tour was designed for the Top 10 finalists, a spokeswoman for 19 Entertainment said Friday. Grigsby, who finished 11th, got bumped up when Clark was bounced. No offer was made to Olivarez when Gracin bowed out, the rep said.
Olivarez, whose post-Idol gigs have included posing in the buff for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, also was not included on the American Idol album, American Idol Season 2: All-Time Classic American Love Songs. Earlier, a record label spokesman said the album was recorded after Olivarez was eliminated from the competition. A cut from the banished Clark remains.
Even with Gracin, Clark and Olivarez out, tickets for the new Idol tour are selling faster than last fall's edition which featured first-season wonders Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini, late of the summer fizzle, From Justin to Kelly.
Already, at least 23 dates are sold out, more than double the rate at which shows filled up last year, the tour promoter told Billboard.com.
To Pollstar's Gary Bongionvanni, the increased demand is a simple matter of math.
"I guess that shouldn't be surprising because the TV show that spawned it did better [this season that last]," said Bongiovanni, editor-in-chief of the concert-tracking publication.
Indeed, Clarkson's Idol coronation was watched by about 27 million; Studdard's by more than 34 million.

wow! the blogger editing screen changed... nice colour, but basically no big difference.
well, clay's single is selling much better than ruben's. i don't know how long this is going to last, but i do hope clay will do better than ruben even in the long term. i just like clay better. anyway, simon is so pathetic... here, lemme show you. it's from foxes on idol:
Simon Says: Let’s Rip on Clay
Simon Cowell was recently on Howard Stern’s show, where he gave his thoughts (excuses) on why Clay has outsold Ruben so far. But he doesn’t stop there – he also delves into Clay’s personal life.
Simon Cowell was on Howard Stern’s show recently, and while I didn’t hear it myself, a number of readers have e-mailed in about it, including one who provided a transcript. As you might imagine, due to the fact that, well, it’s Howard Stern and Simon Cowell, the discussion took a bit of a nasty turn. However, I have to say that I was surprised to see just how nasty it got.
First, we have Howard asking Simon why Clay’s CD-single has done better than Ruben’s so far. Simon claims that it’s because Clay has “Bridge Over Troubled Water” on it, and that if Ruben had that song, he would be at number one. To that, I have to say: Bullsh*t. I know Simon wants to continue to defend Ruben as his choice for the winner, but he is ignoring some facts. One of those that very clearly contradicts Simon is that Clay’s CD shot to #1 on Amazon.com while Ruben’s hovered much lower before the decision had been made to put “Bridge Over Troubled Water” on the CD. It might be argued that Amazon.com rankings are not everything, but we’ve seen that it was a pretty good indicator of the overall comparative selling rates of the two CDs.
In addition, let’s look at the reason the song replaced “On the Wings of Love” on his CD. It wasn’t just a whim of the producers – it was because Clay knocked the song out of the park on the show. Even Simon himself admitted at the time that his performance of that song might have won the competition for him. Now Simon wants to say it’s the song and not the performance? Wrong.
There may be many reasons that Clay’s CD outsold Ruben’s, from the basic one that there are more Clay fans to the more questionable ones that suggest Clay’s fans just bought multiple copies so they could propel him to #1. Simon’s ego certainly would not allow him to state the first, but I’m kind of surprised he didn’t go with the second rather than something that is so blatantly false. It’s like because he liked Ruben more than Clay, he cannot conceive that others might have a different viewpoint.
From there, Howard Stern moved into an area that is not surprising, given who he is – asking Simon about Clay’s sexuality. Simon said he hadn’t asked Clay about it, he just had to look at him. And from looking at him, he can tell that Clay is gay.
Howard asked about Clay denying it in Rolling Stone magazine. Simon sarcastically replied that in that case, he believes him. Yeah. Right. That clears it all up, he added.
This brings up multiple issues. First, Simon seems to be under the misconception that all gay men “look” a certain way. Second, who cares? If Clay told an interviewer that he’s straight, why should anybody care? Why should anybody have even asked the question to begin with? Back when I interviewed Jim Verarros from the first season, Jim (who is openly gay) said he never felt like anybody dealing with the show had any problems with that, including Simon. Now, however, I have to wonder. I guess when you go on Howard Stern you’re expected to discuss such things, and maybe it’s just a continuation of the first point discussed above – Simon still wants to push Ruben as the best and doesn’t like the fact that Clay is so far winning the sales battle.
However, many people have wondered why Simon would say bad things about either man, since he is the one who signed them. According to my correspondent, Simon made a comment indicating that he sold the rights to both of them for millions and therefore has no reason to worry about saying something that will impact sales.
Still, if Simon is coming back for American Idol 3, you’d think he’s want to restrain himself a little bit. Yes, he’s always been known as the “nasty” one, but mostly he’s just been blunt and honest and, frankly, I’ve frequently defended him for doing so (though not always, such as when he called people “losers.” Now he’s making himself look like a complete ass. He didn’t have to go on Howard Stern’s show, and he didn’t have to lower himself to Howard Stern’s level.
Is Clay gay? I have no idea. I’ve heard reports that he is; I’ve heard reports that he isn’t; I don’t really care, and probably neither do most of his fans. What I do care about is that since buying both his CD and Ruben’s, I have found myself wanting to listen to Clay’s a lot more frequently than Ruben’s. Sure, part of it is that I’ve heard “Superstar” enough times that I’ve memorized each and every “baby,” but most of it is simply that I like Clay’s singing better. Since I’ve heard “On the Wings of Love” – the song that was originally supposed to be on Clay’s CD-single – and know that it, like “Superstar,” would have been essentially the same on the single as it was on the full AI2 album, I also know that I stillwould have preferred Clay’s single, and I suspect many others feel the same way.
Simon had a one-word description that he liked to use when he thought somebody had done extremely poorly. I think that description fits the excuses he made here: Pathetic.
see? simon... grow up! but no hard feelings. i don't exactly hate him or anything. but this is really stupid. it's no wonder the claymates are talking about boycotting his "cupid" show. puh-leeze...
fish said she wants to burn a copy of clay's single "bridge over troubled water/ this is the night". i would be happier if she bought a copy or something. can support clay. but then, since there're no more of his singles anyway (not that i can find) i guess it's alright if i burn the songs for her. nope, not just the single. it's everything from his single to his demo songs to his performances. basically, just any song that i think she might find nice. made a pretty little cd. talking about pretty, i wrapped jo's present after all. i really am a perfectionist. i don't like her, i shouldn't have bothered to wrap the present at all. i wanted to find some paper bag or something to hold it so that i can bring there for her. but then i couldn't find a presentable paper bag or anything. so though, maybe i CAN wrap it after all, since i have plenty of cheapskate wrapping paper anyway. so i decided to make a paper bag out of it. then i thought, why not just turn it into a carrying bag? so i punched two holes at the top and used some strings to hold it in place as well as serve as the handle. then the stingy me didn't even want to give her those strings. so i plucked out the plastic handles from the takahimaya bags (and the oldest ones too!) and clipped them there. voila! it actually looks pretty now... i'm happy with the way it looks. i don't exactly hate her either, just a bit bu4 shuang3. but nevermind. if it makes her happy, if tlittle things i enjoy doing can make people happy, ok lah... doesn't hurt... it looks more presentable too. =)
alright, gotta prepare for lunch. must reach tuition earlier today. i need to rush to shumin's bbq after that and i can't afford any delays... right!

feels like it's been a long time since i blogged huh? well...
I GOT MY HARRY POTTER!!! it was out on saturday, but i didn't really try to get it on purpose. i asked dad and he said i can buy it. he needs to help his colleague buy anyway, so i still have to help him buy. and if i'm lucky, i can read it before he passes it to his colleague. saturday i was actually planning to go to IKEA with fish to get a present for ks since we'd be going to his house this coming sat for class gathering. but then by the time we reached paya lebar, that's it. we couldn't endure the mere thought of taking that packed train all the way to queenstown. so we promptly got off at bugis. haha, for the hundred and twentieth time this month. aha... anyway, when i passed by kinokuniya, i couldn't resis the temptation to go in and take a look. 20% off the order of the phoneix!!! hahaha!!! ok, bought it. hehe... i was thrilled to finally get my hands on that book... love it love it love it. we bought a photo frame for kaisiang. it was kinda heavy. i should have brought it home with me, but then i was already carrying the harry potter book, and none of them could bear to make the little me carry an additioncal load home. haha, so i got away with it... wahaha... the moment i reached home (late late afternoon) i just sat down on the sofa and started reading. sugarpie cooked dinner, and i just kept on reading. it didn't feel like i had to eat dinner at all. i was just feeding on the book. daddy came at night, so i couldn't read it through the night. hehe... next day daddy had to bring it back, but i haven't finished reading it yet! luckily daddy approved another book! bought it immediately in the afternoon and finished it that evening! hahaha... so sad... the death... it's him... it's all harry's fault. he was supposed to just learn occlumency from snape. why didn't he put in effort? dumbledore told him to learn it, do everything he has to so that he can shut his mind. but he just wouldn't listen. he just allowed himself to dream and get taken over by voldemort. always his curiosity. when will he ever learn? whatever's inside snape's pensieve is none of his business, he didn't have to poke his head in. it was nobody's fault that snape got so angry... of course he won't want to continue those occlumency lessons. how would he dare face anyone? his most hated student saw his worst memory. imagine how he felt... and harry didn't put in any more effort in trying to shut his mind. the curiosity. he wanted to conitnue those dreams. he wanted to know what was behind the door. he just wanted to know too much. who does he think he is? does he suppose he can save the entire world? hermione told him to check carefully if sirius is really hurt... sigh, whatever it is, it's just hary's curiosity that does the most harm to everybody... but the very thing that made me cry. was the fact that harry totally forgot about the mirrors that sirius had given him. he had had the very thing he could use to communicate with sirius without using floo powder or owl post. the safest thing he could have used to talk to sirius. to make sure sirius was safe at grimmauld place. but he forgot. he never thought of using it. when he could have talked to sirius, he didn't use it. when he remembered, too late... too late, it's gone, it won't come back... *sob* i'm so sad... i can't believe he died. i'm still in denial. like harry, i too feel that he'll appear on the other side of the veil. smiling, giving a bark-like laugh, playing some silly joke or prank. but no. he's gone. i've grown to like him over this fifth book. you can practically feel his emotions. looking at harry, like seeing his best friend james again. no doubt he loves harry as he is, but he keeps forgetting that this isn't james. harry is different from james. he's proud that harry looks like james, and he keeps forgetting that no matter how alike thy look, they're never the same person. he lost james, and he wants to keep harry close by his side too. he's wanted to do that fifteen years ago, but he got sent to azkaban. he wanted to do that when harry knew he was innocent, but he couldn't live with harry still bcs his name wasn't cleared. he wanted to keep harry by his side all the time. but harry needs to go to school. he was fine with simply having him around for the holidays. but now even that isn't possible. why... why... sirius left behind the mirrors, but he can't talk to harry anymore. he didn't turn into a ghost, he left. he didn't leave behind some painting or whatever like his mother. there was absolutely no chance of communicating with him anymore. but then... it wasn't such a bad thing for sirius himself. he loved harry, but no one meant as much to him as james potter. sirius must have been happy to go. he finally could do something for the Order. he was upset at being made to stay at home, not being able to join the others in their jobs. he was frustrated, he felt useless. but now, he has done something for the Order. he would feel good. he would be happy. on the other hand, everybody else is upset. harry no doubt. dumbledore is upset. i believe one of the people who would hurt the most... lupin. he lost 2 of his best friends to voldemort. he only had these 2 friends. both of them were gone. yet he would be among those very very few who would understand that sirius would have been most wiling to sacrifice for the order. sirius...

have i been sleeping all the while and only dreaming? nope, clay's single topped billboards indeed... but i got my days mixed up...
today during tuition i asked sean if he knows when is the next day i'll see him. then the kid said, "i know! friday..." And in my mind i was already thinking yeah, i'll be seeing him on friday. but today's friday... so actually the next lesson is monday, but i actually forgot. next friday is supposed to be shumin's bday celebration, and i got tuition on the same day. somehow i kept making this mental note that next week i'll go for the class gathering right after my tuition. but in actual fact tuition's on friday, but class gathering's on saturday. huh? what am i thinking? i keep getting my days mixed up... haiz...
next friday got to go to shumin's bday celebration. don't really feel like going... but it's her 21st birthday. whoa, it's a big deal... wonder if our present is too no face or not. i got tuition till 5pm, dunno what time i can reach... so tiring... so sian... but no choice... must give her face. i shall go! i must go!
looking forward to the class gathering. maybe i'm just too bored these days, so it's good to have something to look forward to. there used to be clay and american idol every thursday... but now... well, daddy's coming tomorrow. i'm happy to see him, but i'm a little scared that he'll come and lecture me and telling me not to waste my holidays, try to learn something or what. not that i don't want... i'm practically a full time maid now... no doubt i don't make soup nor do i always sweep and mop the floor, but i'm not as efficient as mom. she's been doing it for years. i stood in the kitchen for over an hour trying to get dinner ready. washing the ingredients, marinate, cut/chop, prepare garlic/ginger/spring onion, blah blah...

CLAY'S NUMBER 1 ON BILLBOARD!
YES! i'm so happy!... hahaha... ruben's in the number 2 spot, but nevermind... clay sold 393,000 copies, while ruben sold 286,000 copies. hehe... i'm gonna celebrate! haha... good for him... and he's on the cover for rolling stone too, even though ruben won the title of american idol. apparently we're not the only people who recognize the charisma and charm from clay. imagine puttin ruben on the cover. uhm... *shiver* maybe not. ok ok... watch out for clay's fan base! ruben may have beat clay to the title by 130,000 votes, but clay beat him in sales by 107,000 copies. we know which one costs more, which one is worth more.
well now, i hope that clay can do just as well in singapore. all the best wishes for him... i'd be so irritated if ruben sells well here. but that's just me. oh whatever...
another day to rot at home. i didn't go swimming this morning. alright sorry... i know i was supposed to go swimming this morning. but then it just felt so good sleeping, and i washed all the towels yesterday. you know the amount of stuff i'll have to wash if i went swimming. and sugarpie has a little of sore throat. i don't want to get that. neither do i want the entire pool to be contaminated with it. eewww....

I BOUGHT CLAY'S CD SINGLE!!!
i got it i got it i got it... i went to hmv at citylink, and i found the last copy there... but the new batch will be coming soon, should be by friday. i wonder how much they'll get. i don't give a damn about ruben's cd, but i do wanna know if clay can do better than ruben here... i hope clay can do better than him... i really hate ruben's superstar, simply awful. everybody says that clay's BOTW is no good bcs of the loud choir. but i like the feeling, i enjoy that "touch of gospel". is there anything wrong with it? yeah, the choir kinda drowns out clay's voice at certain places. but at least it's not painful listening to, like superstar. totally butchered that song. they ruined it forever. i'm listening to the single now, it's presently playng TITN. just finished BOTW, and i enjoyed it man... TITN is getting nicer by the day. nope, by the moment! hahaha... but i'm still pissed by those morons who do the mixing and studio enhancement, or whatever you call it. totally screwed up the entire thing. they could have just let clay singthe way he wanted to, then let him repeat if he's not satisfied. they had said they won't make clay something he wasn't, but here they are, trying to force their typical style on clay. irritating... alright, i don't really want to bother with them anymore. they had just better do a better job on clay's album. talk less and listen more, let clay decide what he wants to. and i can guarantee you the success of the album. well, all the best for clay!
talking about which, clay's coming out on the cover of rolling stone! 20th june issue. i can hardly wait... actually i can. he's posing relly awkward for the cover. it's so not him. everybody on the forums like it. alright, not ALL but most. but me, i don't really like it that much... clay isn't supposed to dress like that... i prefer him in his usual choice of cothes, the ones he wear when he's on the show. but i think he's so blown away by the privilege/honour of gracing the rolling stone cover that he didn't voice out any disagreements. he should trust his stylist (with his hair) but he can't trust everybody totally... it's spoiling his image. he had better just stop at that. eewww....
i'm alone at home the entire of today. well, i was surfing the internet this morning, washed the towels, settled my own lunch and washed the dishes, read the 36 ji for a while, watched tv for a while too. but seems like i've only lazed away the entire day. whatever, i'll have to do more housework later. ah... this is so boring... getting a proper job would be good, have something standard to do everyday. but it'll also mean that there's nothing else i can do for the holidays. so well, tuition, internet, housework, reading, tv, swiming (i should sleep early tonight and go swimming tmr morning) and learn something. i dunno what, but i should pick up some skills during the holidays.
next friday is shumin's bday, got bbq. i don't like bbqs... it's her 21st bday, so it's supposed to be a big thing. this is troublesome, cos i think i'm that kind who, on my 21st bday, will just be content at celebrating with my family. i know 21st bday is supposed to be a big time, once in a lifetime. but a bday at every age is a once in a lifetime thing too, isn't it? i'll always only have 1 single 20th or 22nd bday, so i can't see the big deal. i don't like the idea of treating all tom dick and harry on MY own bday. yucks...
then next saturday is the class bbq. i'm kinda looking forward to it! hahaha... i can go and help out earlier i think. oh wait, i've got tuition. maybe i'll go after my tuition. hehe. whatever, i'll ask kaisiang again then. tuiton ends at 5, by the time i get there, could be 5:30pm. maybe i can still help out. it's on the way too, isn't it? i'll be taking 33 and i believe i'll pass by there. hey, maybe i can go back to the interchange first, shun bian buy whatever i'm supposed to, THEN take bus there! haha, the lengths i got to just so that i won't have to cross the road there. it's kinda troublesome you know... oh well, whatever... i think i'm just bored, that's why i keep imagining things. running wild...
boring...

ever heard of lampe berger? my aunt asked my uncle to bring 4 bottles of the perfume with him when he went to aussie last month. got him into plenty of trouble.
she had so much education (and prides herself on that), she has lived so many years, she has travelled so many times. and she didn't know that those are highly flammable substances that cannot be brought onto the plane. what a moron.
anyway, somehow it ended up stranded at my house. yep. and not knowing how to settle them, we asked her. she tried to rope us into the multi-layer marketing. like i'll want to get myself into this kind of trouble. if she ever EVER dares to get me in... well, here's what.
that stuff contains 90% isopropyl alcohol (by volume), making it a highly flammable substance. a simple spark will cause an ignition. it's boiling point is 82.4 deg Celcius. which means that at that temp, it will start changing from liquid state to vapour state.
isopropyl alcohol: (C3H8O)causes irritation to your throat, mucuos membrane, upper respiratory tract and lungs. and the modes of absorption are through ingestion, skin, eye contact and inhalation. which is exactly what they're doing.
incompatible with: Strong Bases, Oxidizing Agents, Reducing Agents, Strong Acids, Halogens, Aluminum
hazardous decomposition: carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide (released during fire involving isopropyl alcohol)
how thick do you have to be?
. . .
i am surrounded by morons. day in day out. ok, other than when i'm at home. i had so much to complain just now, but i forgot them. so nevermind, i'll give the reasons for this when i remember.

i went to sembawang yesterday to check if clay's single is out yet. apparently not... well, i decided to download the songs today. not to worry! i'll still buy it after that... i just want to know how it's like... i downloaded all 4 songs from clay's and ruben's singles. yup, that's right, i downloaded ruben's as well.
and now i have a fully legitimate reason for refusing to buy ruben's single.
clay's single was good. "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" was nice, even though the choir was too loud during the chorus, drowning clay's voice for a while. but the song gave me chills. "This Is The Night" was good too. he controlled his voice very well. he sounds better here than on the final night cos his voice wasquite strained then. here he sounds good. but i wish they gave him more freedom to play with his notes.
ruben's "Flying Without Wings" was.. nah... ok. it was quite ok. good. but at the last part, it didn't sound like him. it sounded a little bit over enhanced. tsk... but this song is generally good... well, "Superstar"... let's just say that i couldn't bear to listen to the entire song. we've all heard that song a thousand times. they made the song so slow, but there was no suspense to build up at all. it was so darn slow and draggy. it wasn't even nice. the carpenters' version is so much better than this one. i can't believe how they butchered the song... it's dreadful.
which is why i say i now have a legitimate reason to refuse to buy ruben's single. at first i thought, i'd just buy clay's so that i can support clay. i don't want to buy ruben's bcs i want to give clay as much advantage as possible. but now, no. i'm not going to buy ruben's single bcs it's simply awful... ugh...

Finding Nemo
i went to watch finding nemo with sugarpie today... i love it! it's a great show... really...
the animation is great, it's not the typical expectable nonsense, there are hilarious parts and some touching scenes, as well as a few heart wrenching ones.... great for children and adults alike...
when marlin lost coral, it was so... ouch... the thought of losing your loved ones... left with only one single egg (though a lil damaged, leading to that "lucky fin"), it was no surprise why marlin was so protective of nemo and unwilling to let him do anything that may endanger himself. nemo, young and rebellious, and in the wrong company (those three stupid idiots... octopus, fish, seahorse) deliberately disobeys his father. hai... all that danger he put himself in... a father who lost his only son, hopeless, desperate, lost, frantic, worried sick, in agony... everything was portrayed perfectly. in need of help, in an unfamiliar environment, and meets a blur fish who seems to bring more trouble than help... haha, so in came dory! i like dory, she's so funny!... all that nonsense from her... and marlin, wary of her mistakes, refuses to believe her when she says to swim through the trench rather than over it. the guilt he felt when he caused dory to get injured. the determination to stop himself from making the same mistake again, marlin decides to be more trusting towards others. things he never took much notice of, he starts recalling everything after losing nemo. it's all so real... i like the part when gill appeared, looking so menacing and intimidating, so sinister... then he proves himself to be a fatherly sort of role, making nemo learn how to face up to the situation. the desperate (failed) attempts he made to escape, and then the guilt (once again) at having overlooked nemo's safety in his escape feat. the loss of hope, yet finally encouraged by nemo's willingness to try again. but, haha, it was so amusing that his attempts are all so pretty stupid ideas... i really liked the part where they finally got themselves into plastic bags, rolled off into the sea, but then got trapped just the way they were... haha, stupid... but just so adorable...
what an absolutely great show... five star rating!

sort of finally settled the ktv booking... they've all agreed on a time and place. now the present, well, as long as it's a bag, i'm given free reign. anything. yeah, doy, me, cos i'm the one to go and buy again. sick... and you know where? yeah, bugis again. this is the hundredth time i'm going there man... ok ok... i'm just in a not so good mood these days...
on a brighter note, it's 7 june already, clay's single will be released on june 10 (about afternoon of june11 here). well, it's quite impossible i'll get it on wed here then. maybe by the end of the week? i dunno... i can't wait!!! argh............. hahaha... hopes are high. they're hoping clay might go multi-platinum based on presales alone. but of course that's impossible... hahaha... well i hope he does better than ruben nevertheless... i'm sore about that american idol finale. i want clay to thrash ruben on the charts and sales. but i know, we can't underestimate ruben. esp when not everyone is capable of accepting clay's style. but now, it's money we're talking about here. i've got a little more confidence that clay will be fine though... god bless!
i'd fall down on............... my knees... kiss the ground that you walk on baby... if i could just ho---------ld you again... (listening to at this moment by... guess who? maybe it's clay huh? haha)
tuition starts on monday. hope i won't lose my way, hope the kids are good, hope the weather's good, hope i'm in good physical and mental condition from before-i-go to after-i'm-back. basically, i just hope that everything will be smooth... =) all the best!
. . .
oh darn simon... i really dunno where he gets all those ideas to the stuff he says... tis from http://extratv.warnerbros.com/dailynews/extra/06_03/06_06c.html. some of the amazing things coming out from that famous mouth...
"I'm in a bad mood cause I'm back in bloody London."
"I've heard her sound better, but the acoustics weren't great. If this record doesn't go to number one, I will be nice the rest of my life. I will turn into Paula Abdul." (on kelly clarkson)
"I think that's a very good career move for Ryan... Intellectually he is going to be able to communicate better with kids..." (on ryan seacrest hosting american juniors)
huh? this is amazing... he says such mean things, but gets away with all that... haha... there is no doubt why he is who "everybody loves to hate"... =)

either the makeup's really bad, or they were actually, really, not that good looking... cos the looks really can't compensate that desperate lack of talent.
well, i'm talking about the singapore star search, honeybunch... i better be clear, else i'll forget what i'm talking about when i read back in future. those contestants are a bad case of catastrophe. i thought, well, they all look decent enough (meaning unlike criminals) but really typical. nothing special. in fact, they aren't even the kind of people i'll see on the train and go, "hey, he/she looks good..." and their talent is zer0. emphasis is on the zero. they can't act, nevermind. they don't sing very well (unless you like the sound of fork and knife on plate, or fingernails down blackboard), nevermind too. the thing is, they can't even talk fluently, they can't even raise their arms and sway a little without looking like a retard trying to imitate professional dance steps. as a matter of fact, you know what? i could look at a down syndrome trying to live life normally and feel sympathy and understanding towards him, but i can't tolerate watching these people trying to do anything they were attempting just now... they're real failures... who were those people doind the cheering? CONSCIENCE!!!
ugh...

i'm still wasting time...
anyway... huiyi's bday coming soon. as i was saying, i dunno what to buy for her. now i got an idea. i'm thinking of getting her two hamsters or something... i mean, huiyi's got everything she wants and needs. her boyfriend practically could get her anything. given that she lacks nothing, i really dunno what we can buy for her. the girsl don't really care. if they can't think of anything to buy, they'd just buy her soft toys. no, they don't care if she's got thousands at home. as long as it looks good when we give it to her. as long as it's within budget. but when i suggest hamsters, they get all scared. they are afraid that huiyi's mom will not like it. i really don't see any problem. or am i just missing something? she used to have several hamsters, she has already one at home now. i seriously don't see what's the problem of another two. and i'm talking about dwarf hamsters here. they're puny. even if she cannot take care of it, there's always her boyfriend. i really don't find anything wrong. yup, i've thought about it. if i already have a hamster at home, and my friends give me another two, it's not going to make things any different other than having another two to fuss over and play with. if mom doesn't like it, it's not my fault either, my friends bought it. and i didn't even ask for it in the first place. so? what? they're so irritating. they always worrying about the wrong things. it really gets onto my nerves sometimes when we think differently. you worry about whether or not her mom likes the hamsters, but you don't even care if you end up buying something she doesn't need and doesn't like. you remember that you want to go ktv, but you don't remember when her bday is and that if we're celebrating or giving her the present, it's got to be around the same time too. what's with these people? ugh...
they came to fix the aircon again today. frankly, i don't see what's different, other than having to spend another day at home doing senseless things and getting all worked up over minor things. not to mention getting the house all dirty. the aircon was already like this before it got faulty, there's nothing that can be done. it's been 10 years already. an aircon WILL deteriorate after 10 years. if we go on arguing with the repairmen, we're not going to gain anything other than a bad reputation. it's getting kinda unreasonable already...
i called the tuition kid's mom yesterday. she taught me how to get there, but she has no idea if i can even start the firt lesson on monday. now my whole of next week is on pending status. and we're trying to arrange a trip down to ktv next wednesday, hope i can go too. but it's kinda annoying that they're so dependent on me regarding these kind of things. well but i get plenty of practice though... but that's pretty annoying sometimes if i'm busy and stuff. haiz...
i miss clay... his album will be out in stores on june 10. but not in singapore. i dunno when i'll be able to buy it in stores here... yeah, i'm thinking of becoming a full time clayfan. nope, claymate. haha... that meeans i'll just get everything that got to do with clay. something like that. i think that's what i'm supposed to do. so even if the clay single has only two songs and costs more than it's supposed to be, i'd still buy it. will i? actually i dunno. i tend to get a little too rational sometimes. not that it's a bad thing though...
i think i've got dory memory. (talking about finding nemo here) i always forget things. and it's like, totally no impression at all. i can't even remember things i've written for honeybunch. so i hope honeybunch won't be irritated if i repeat the things i write here. you won't right honeybunch? honeybunch says no. haha, but honeybunch cannot say yes. this is my blog after all. i OWN the blog, so the blog cannot object to anything i wanna write here... anyway, time to eat some fruits. i'm gonna eat kiwi fruit! hehehe...
did i mention that i miss clay?

i'm so tired... i went swimming this morning. not that i wanted to, but then sugarpie hardly would get up that early to go swimming. so since it's something that hardly happens, ok... i bet my skin grew darker again. i don't like to be so dark. but i can't help it. since i can't help it anyway, then forget it... notice that i'm no making sense? well, at least i'm aware of that. my mind cannot really function properly now. i'm so tired... my fingers aren't even typing the right thing. i need to press the backspace button every 2 seconds. tsk tsk...
huiyi's bday is coming soon. i dunno what to get for her. should be some dinosaur things or doraemon things. i dunno... and i dunno how we should be celebrating it either. choo suggested going ktv again. apparently she forgot that huiyi doesn't really like to go ktv that much... dunno lah... see how loh... and nobody seems to be taking the initiative to start discussing getting the present or something. everyone's waiting for someone else to do it. and the someone else is, most of the time, me. haiz... i'll see about that...
tuition is going to start next monday. i so no mood. i should call the tuition kid's parent tonight and let her know that i'll try to get there by 3pm next monday. and i need to ask her how to get there. i better remember to ask her if she wants me to take the kid's temperature like shermeen suggested. it's a pretty dumb idea, i must say, but nevermind, i can reconfirm with the parent. i don't think the mother would want her kid to share my thermometer. not that i would want to share mine with the kid anyway. disgusting... people are still not taking personal hygiene seriously. they can never think if it as a more important thing. sharing food, chopsticks, towels, etc... yucky...
honeybunch, i bough a new handphone cover you know! what colour? haha, it's pure black... and it's matted texture. it's really nice... but i dare not tell daddy that i spent $15 on the cover. =p i'm afraid to get scolded... but then i really liked it, and i thought i had an excuse to buy it. i could take it as a reward for my better results this sem... i like that cover... now i really love the way my handphone looks. it's black, it has bright cyan/bluish green light shining out of it, the operator logo has calvin and hobbes, and reads "CLAY love". hahaah! it's so cute... i didn't put any clay pic operator logo. that would be disgusting... talking about which, i was reading the posts on the forums... people were urging fellow clay fans to behave properly. some fans were mobbing clay and scaring the wits out of him. poor clay! bao3 bei4... they were yelling into his face, trying to yank him oujt of the car he was in... anyway it frightened him real bad. he had to wind up the car window to protect himself. my my my... these people are barbaric... so some of them on the forum were pledging to be a good clay fan. i shall pledge here too! i'll be a well-behaved clay fan! hahaha... i couldn't bear to hurt that poor kid...
so sleepy... so tired... bye honeybunch...
