Finding Nemo i went to watch finding nemo with sugarpie today... i love it! it's a great show... really... the animation is great, it's not the typical expectable nonsense, there are hilarious parts and some touching scenes, as well as a few heart wrenching ones.... great for children and adults alike... when marlin lost coral, it was so... ouch... the thought of losing your loved ones... left with only one single egg (though a lil damaged, leading to that "lucky fin"), it was no surprise why marlin was so protective of nemo and unwilling to let him do anything that may endanger himself. nemo, young and rebellious, and in the wrong company (those three stupid idiots... octopus, fish, seahorse) deliberately disobeys his father. hai... all that danger he put himself in... a father who lost his only son, hopeless, desperate, lost, frantic, worried sick, in agony... everything was portrayed perfectly. in need of help, in an unfamiliar environment, and meets a blur fish who seems to bring more trouble than help... haha, so in came dory! i like dory, she's so funny!... all that nonsense from her... and marlin, wary of her mistakes, refuses to believe her when she says to swim through the trench rather than over it. the guilt he felt when he caused dory to get injured. the determination to stop himself from making the same mistake again, marlin decides to be more trusting towards others. things he never took much notice of, he starts recalling everything after losing nemo. it's all so real... i like the part when gill appeared, looking so menacing and intimidating, so sinister... then he proves himself to be a fatherly sort of role, making nemo learn how to face up to the situation. the desperate (failed) attempts he made to escape, and then the guilt (once again) at having overlooked nemo's safety in his escape feat. the loss of hope, yet finally encouraged by nemo's willingness to try again. but, haha, it was so amusing that his attempts are all so pretty stupid ideas... i really liked the part where they finally got themselves into plastic bags, rolled off into the sea, but then got trapped just the way they were... haha, stupid... but just so adorable... what an absolutely great show... five star rating! posted by Yee 12:31 AM . . .
