had xmas dinner on 17th. early huh? but we didn't have any other choice... cos that's the only day that everyone can make it. i had tuition that day. so i met them after my lesson at about 4 plus to buy the ingredients. fish, choo, huiyi, kaili. we went in circles at ntuc. i dunno why we took so long. didn't we already agree on what to buy? anyway, they didn't know what was watercress. i took it for them (it was fresh new stock) but they didn't want it. or rather, they rather take chinese cabbage. which, for the record, was absolutely dreadful. they didn't finish it, neither did they finish the lettuce. in the end, it was the 2 bunches of watercress that was finished. it made the soup really sweet. nice. anwyay, people just can't agree on what to buy. haiz.... waste of time. we already said, buy some from ntuc, some from shop n save. they like to change their minds last minute. so lazy, keep saying that they don't wanna go sns. but some of the things there are cheap. why not? tsk... we had to buy rice anyway... and then it started raining. haiz... it wasn't too big though, i must say. when we got back we had to rush through preparing the food. such a chore! the guys reached soon after, having bought *7* bottles of drinks. they're nuts. hello, we're having steamboat, there's soup! oh well... dinner was.. alright. there was obviously too much food. i'm glad i didn't have to eat all the leftovers. they threw some away. none of my business. i can't believe there was no beef in a shabu shabu meal. absurd. basically i was only eating fishballs. and watercress, of course. for gift exchange, needless to say i came up with the best wrapping! heehee... huiyi gave me my present. a japan-made diary! it's nice... i don't really like cats but people keep thinking that i do. for the record, i don't! but the one she gave me with pictures of cats is really nice. it costs 11.35. i know cos she forgot to take off the price tag. and she exceeded the budget too. i'm surprised. jo gave kaili a mug, kaili gave cindy socks, cindy gave wanyu a bag, wanyu gave aiping some body shop stuff, aiping gave huiboon chocolates, huiboon gave choo a pig cushion, choo gave huiyi a precious thots album. so you can see what kind of presents some people can come up with. tsk tsk. i'm tired. i've got a headache. don't feel like blogging anymore. till then. posted by Yee 5:12 PM . . .
