I Can't Help Myself...

saw fish's blog yesterday
whole lot of philosophies about friends and their importance
do people appreciate friends only during times of need?
i've seen abit on tv before... why sometimes friends can gong4 huan4 nan4 but cannot gong4 fu4 gui4? ie they can got through hard times together, but not good times...
i think it's got to do with the fact that people look for their friends; turn to their friends only when they need them. they don't seem to see the need to look them up during normal times when everything's fine. maybe people don't even notice it when everything's fine. they only see it when there's trouble, so it seems that life's so full of troubles and worries and depressing.
not be too dependent on one friend? i'm not too sure about that...
no doubt, you can't always count on only one friend bcs there's always this possibility that if that one friend is away, or if you've had a quarrel, you'll have no one else to turn to... but somehow, i'm still strong in my belief that it's great to have one friend, so important and one you know you can always count on, no matter what. one to keep in mind, one to be thankful for, that the mere thought of it makes you appreciative and feel fortunate. i think that way. but i may be wrong. i hope not...

it baffles me why some people always expect their friends to know everything about them, to always be there for them, to understand them an offer them help, and to do nice sweet things for them, etc. did it never occured to them that if you don't look for them in the first place, there is absolutely no way they can offer you help or cheer you up or console you, whatsoever? then how come they can never do things they expect others to do? does no one know how to reflect? tsk tsk

i'm such a pessimist. i am. but i don't think it's that obvious. i'm paranoid too! clay said "i'm a realist i'm not an optimist". i think it sounds better that way! than to say i'm pessimistic. the world is such that this two are equivalent, aren't they? ok. that's just so pessimistic. nevermind. still i'm thankful for so many things! i've learnt to appreciate them without having to always go on the brink of losing them first. i... like that... but then, i'm aware there're probably things which i have yet to learn to appreciate. i must think...

i hate this. my entries are getting so preachy and lengthy and philisophical and boring. it must be because i'm trying to delude myself in some matters, or trying to convince myself about something! when i blog, it feels like i'm talking to myself. i'm exploring different perspectives (man i hate the way i sound). will i have schizophrenia?! will i end up with split personality?!?! OOH NO!!!
