i am so sick and tired of the american public... crying foul about the ouster of latoya london from american idol... what is wrong with this people? why are they making such a big fuss out of this? i understand it's a big deal to the fans, that they are upset latoya was undeservedly booted out of the show by the undeserved jasmine. but stop looking for a scapegoat, or anything to blame on other than yourselves. it's not FOX's fault that she got booted. they didn't just manipulate the votes to kick latoya out of the competition. they can be unfair, assigning more airtime for one contestant and deliberately holding back some details for another contestant. but they have been favouring latoya plenty since the finals began. if latoya was good enough, if she had enough fans, they won't be affected by that. look how unfair they were for clay in AI2, deliberately holding back the fact that he was only given about 20 minutes to practise and rehearse the new arrangement of Vincent and on the other hand blowing it up andd accusing him of forgetting the lyrics bcs he freaked out. but he was fine nevertheless, never once did he fall into the bottom two. unlike clay, latoya has been in the bottom two twice. before this. both times, she was the first one back to safety, never in enough danger to make her fans work harder in voting for her. until the third time, she went right out of the competition, and then the fans start feeling guilty and try so hard to blame somebody else. i know latoya can sing, but it's not a style for everyone. i know as many people who dislike her just as many as those who like her. the standard difference between the contesants in this season's finals is too little and too insignificant to allow any assumptions as to who is the best bet for winning the competition. it wasn't like the first and second sesason. ruben and clay were obviously the best and the most popular. you can just hear it from the cheers they get DURING their performances. and note, the judges weren't even that fair to clay, but he never landed in the bottom three. i may be biased, cos i honestly think clay is good enough. but i never doubted ruben's right to the throne. they've said many times. this is AMERICAN IDOL. they're looking for one who can sing, who has charisma and charm, and someone the public can relate to and are willing to vote for. latoya has none but one. she can sing, but she has no charisma, no charm, and not one that the fans can relate to and find endearing. ruben has all those, that's why he's the winner. and the public shouldn't be deprived of the right to vote. this is the purpose of the show. it's the one generator, one motivator of the show. it's the one reason for success of the show. if she can sing, she doesn't need the show. she can cut her own album and have all the success the same. but the show says american IDOL, not singer, not vocalist. so you don't need the judges to pick the winner. so stop all that racket, all of you... posted by Yee 12:27 PM . . .
